Unless there was some other place where you could find a looping Sean Connery quote combined with that tiled image. It's not the fact that he didn't make the audio that's the problem, it's the fact that the ONLY thing he contributed was a text transcription of the audio we can already hear. Max invented the bizarre-yet-brilliant idea of repeating "YTMND" over and over with that image & text.
Even without the debates over what makes a true YTMND it's still lame, because instead of just having all the text right there, you have to sit through the GIF and hope everything syncs up correctly. Basically, just listening to the MP3 itself would be better in every possible way. So it's unoriginal AND counterintuitive, even self-defeating.
And for the record, I would be giving this 1 star even without the "viewhacking" stuff. I really just think it's a terrible YTMND.

how come people cant get it through their thick heads that the reason this site is getting so many views is because there is an INSANE amount of people linking to this site. there is nothing anyone can do, Sphonix is not going to delete the site because it got hall of famed.

instead of crying about this site and it's rapid advance to the #1 spot, people should be applauding this site and all the traffic it has to brought to YTMND, since this sites creation YTMND has seen more traffic than ever..that means more viewers and donations(maybe).

OK this got real old real fast, yeah it was funny for something taken from somewhere else and adding readable text to it but hey, it's run it's course... Dec. 3 2006 and 38k hits on google? lol burn this sh*t or delete the site, i really dont care what you to it, the views it got earlier made sense but now this has become an ill-gotten way to reach first place, since it will pretty soon, It'll feel like de-throwing the Zelda Game for the SNES on the original Power Charts in Nintendo Magazine

While i do not think this site is funny, or worthy of its status. To all the people saying other HOFs took alot of work and creativity.......Emo song? Internet is for Porn? Even picard. all three cases someone took someone elses song and put it to an image and became the most viewed/hall of fame. Sphonix, I'm not trying to be cruel, and I know it's every YTMNDer's dream to some day be the best... or at least comment a lot, but you need to end this, and I think you can see that. I don't accuse you of view hacking, though I do accuse this site of ruining what YTMND has come to stand for this past years. If we don't get variety, then this will be the only site to completely obliterate all others, and you'll never see another in the top spot. I guarantee that, considering that more and
more people will link it every day, and those same people will get their friends to watch it who have never even heard of YTMND, and the cycle will continue. I admit that the Blue Ball Machine isn't a great gif, and that's not my point here. If you end this now, people will stop continuing to insult you, despite the fact that you've only made a transcript to go with the audio. The best thing you can do, I believe, is make a new site that redirects fans of the clip to the actual radio show's website, so that
they can listen to it there. If you really feel the need to preserve the transcript, I would ask you to move it somewhere else, and include that info in the new YTMND you make as well. I realize that neither the mods nor Max will touch you with a thirty foot pole at this point, so I'm asking you directly. I don't one this out of hatred for you, but for what it has come to bring. Obliterate here meaning that it will prevent any other YTMND from achieving hall of fame status because of its extreme amount of hits. That, and the recent spurt of the Kramer fad.
