the difference there being that 1) Bush wouldn't have apologized and 2) the Special Olympics committee probably wouldn't have accepted his apology as unequivocally. anyway, Republicrats, Democrans, and the Media are all beholden to the marketplace, and government is the shadow cast on society by big business.
quibbling over the whole "liberal" v "conservative" thing is merely deciding who gets to screw you and in what position, but that sort of cynicism suppresses our chance for change. so you can see how Obama's slogan of change and hope resonates with all people who have felt disenfracised whether or not you actually believe change will ever take place.
So, 8 years after the Bush administration and less than two months into the Obama presidency you guys hold him up to the standard of expecting nothing less than a utopia? And before some dumbass tries to rebuke me by saying, "Well, he 'did' promised a utopia blah blah blah," well, no he didn't. Many people may treat him like God (which is unfortunate), but I don't remember Obama billing himself as such. BTW, I did liked that episode, however.
