Unless you water it down, relativize it, and interpret it as a person with common sense would.
i.e. -- every motherf*cking society had slaves and thought of women as inferior. If you read the corresponding verses (written before or after the ones cited), there are calls to love women and treat slaves as equals, even emancipate them (book of Philemon). Compared to other societies of the time, the Bible was a step forward. gtfo for you ignorant children who don't get it.
A lot things were added to the Bible by Church Officals like the Pope to support the reasonings of their life or to teach that people can be reedemed. Examples would be Mary Magdalene a whore who was redeemed and became a disciple, that was institued by Pope Gregory I. Now I'll be told off by someone in another religous sect.
