If you like bands that do more than one riff per song, give Death a try, especially if your tastes are a little more metallic. SOAD isn't quite my cup of tea but you did well with the material.

System is a lot more musically complex than people give them credit for. Ever try counting time to the chorus to Toxicity or the intro to Streamline? Despite the erratic vocals (which I think are awesome), they know both how to write songs and how to play their instruments.

Music elitism varies also. If I want more than one riff per song, I'll listen to incomprehensible experimental metal like Dillinger Escape Plan or Between The Buried And Me. Better yet, Stravinsky or Mahler. It's all subjective.
