Woah. Jeez, stay off the crack, mccain. I'm a Mac User, and, I think these coomercials are stupid, too. I'm willing to bet the only reason you 'don't like Macs' is because of the compatability issues? Not enough games? Amazing. That would be a reason why Macs are shipping with Intel chipsets, Why you can install Windows on them, and use BOTH. Computers were NOT created to play games, you know, no matter how much your pitiful life depends on them...
Macintosh rules. Windows sucks big hairy virus infected, worm riddled, sh*tty interfaced, cheaply imitated balls.
Windows is just a poorly coded, insecure rip-off of the Mac OS - always has been - always will be.
But I hate John Stuart.
People who bash the Apple don't know what the f*ck they are talking about. People always ridicule what they don't understand.
I earn a living using Macs and consulting for big corporations and small businesses that use them as well as consumers at home.
Fluk3? Blow it out your ass. That's right...take a deep breath, and blow it out your ass. If you, and maybe you do, have any idea what you're talking about you'd know without a doubt that if the market were reversed with MS users using Macs and vice versa, they would suffer the same virus problems. Viruses are designed to cause maximum possible damage, and by exploiting Apple's piss-poor crash-heavy code then they'd be narrowing their target range just because the majority of computer users use MS. Duh!
Haha, that's pretty funny. I was going to give you a 3 or a 4 but your cartoon made the windows people get all pissy about it so I gave you more points. They should just mind their own business. The ones who get mad are drama queens who don't know anything about Macs except what they hear from their friends and Windows Lovers Magazine.
When you said "do those exist" I'm going to assume you meant "those do esit" because in my experience the snobbery has always come from the PC people. Well, until recently with commercials like the one being parodied here, but the Mac people have had to deal with it for years. I guess the hardcore Windows users are getting a taste of their own medicine now! Seriously though, everyone needs to stop getting so worked up about it.
Haha, I just saw someone call Mac OS crash heavy! LOL! That just shows that the last time they used a Mac was in the 1990s. I've had my G4 for almost 5 years and never had a major system problem. If a program goes down, the system almost always stays up. You might be surprised to learn that Mac DOES have a task manager and you can quit unresponsive programs, but it's not like you would know that since you obiviously don't ever use Macs (or maybe just not properly).
You guys are obviously retarded ... any OS has it's own problems when it comes out! Primarly because of nasty hacks because of project deadlines etc.! And aside from that these are HUGE projects coded by several different teams within the same company (almost always tired)! Even *BSD has kernel patches every once in a while! On the argument of malware, it just depends on what kind of system you target. Stop arguing like 12 year olds ...
The PC bigots say Macs act snobby, and then turn around and say "Macs suck! Get a real computer!". Damn hypocrites. Most of you don't even know what you're talking about. My G4 is very upgradable and if you don't like Mac OS X (which by the way is UNIX based) then put LINUX on it (yes, you CAN do that).
The new Mac commercials are really an inside joke. Mac users have had to put up with the snobbery of windows user for years, so now that macs are becoming more popular it's kind of funny to watch the roles get reversed! But I guess I can understand if that hurts your feelings. Just don't take it out on unassuming mac users. And didgeridude, the guy wasn't saying you can't build a gaming computer he's just saying that some people do use computers for OTHER THINGS besides gaming.
As has been said before, Mac is ok, but they would be doing much better if Apple weren't always trying to control everything. They only want you to get their hardware, made by them, they were screwed for years because they wanted to control all the software that could go on a Mac, that's why they were getting hosed for so long. Also the way that Apple has done left out some software features on iPods when used on Windows machines, features that have easily been programed in by private programers in their
spare time, and how they DRM iTunes music downloads so they can only be used on iPods, or create new formats for the express purpose of incopatability, shows me enough of Apple's business ideals for me not to like them. If they had gone free market, total competition from the start we'd all be using Macs now too, but because they're struggling to hold on to ideals designed to control users and developers they'll always be handicapped.
The way I see it, a lot of Windows Zealots sit there and think they're leet simply because MS has the bigger userbase. Mac nuts think they're l33t because they like to consider themselves against the norm and against MS. OS X and Linux are just as competent as Windows XP, and would have your precious game support if they had superiority over the computer world. Microsoft is a primarily a software company, Apple is hardware and software. Apple has to make a profit just like everyone else, it just happens to
be that MS has the majority of the OS market and therefore has the major software support and control of the market. Then again, MS's business practices are another issue in and of itself. OS X isn't as simple as you think it is, programmers could have a field day with it's UNIX underpinnings. You can use a 2 button USB mouse (Apple or non-Apple), and dual boot XP for the Intel based Macs. I don't care what computer you use, just STFU and use it. Stop bitching about who is l33t and who isn't.
Thus, VITAFIN proves everything I have been saying by admitting that he has never used a Mac and demonstrating that he knows nothing about them. The Mac has been able to use a 2-button mouse since probably 1993, and even before that you could do all the same things by holding control. I don't know why you people keep clinging to the mouse thing like it's a piece of floating debris from the wreck that was your argument. My Mac actually has 4 buttons on it AND a scroll wheel. Fu¢king idiot.
Ok, AnarchyAndy, here's how you copy and paste a file on Mac OS X (I have an older version in which you can copy and paste them, but not cut and paste them. The newer ones may be different).
Step 1.) Select a file by clicking on it.
Step 2.) Hit Command-C, or, go to the "Edit" menu and select "Copy".
Step 3.) Open the window of the location where you want to put the file.
Step 4.) Press Apple-V, or, go to the "Edit" menu and select "Paste item".
Do this and you will have just copied and pasted a f
gamera is apparently "too stupid" to realize that Linux can be installed on Mac, to use his words, and, Adam, you need to stop playing with iMacs. Power macs are very upgradable. Maybe you can't turn it into Frankenstein or whatever but you can put all kinds of PCI, AGP, and memory upgrades in it. My Mac has space for several hard drives and has 5 PCI slots and AGP. I agree with what M15 Limited says.

nice YTMND, pretty funny. As for PC's vs. Macs, now that Apple has put intel chips in new Macs (sorry, AMD), getting a Mac and putting Windows on it is probably the best way to go, because then the only argument PC people have is that you can mix and match parts and build your own computer (and right click, lol). However, in PC'S defense, i make a living off of fixing broken PC's because ill be damned if im gonna learn how to fix macs (in short, im an advocate of both sides).
I don't understand why people keep saying Macs can't right click. My mac at home has four buttons, and OS X has built-in right -click features. Also, I tested my right-clicking on Unreal Tournament, Quake III, and Myth III and they ALL worked with right-clicking. I know those are a little old but that's about when I stopped getting new games. Almost every new mac program has right-clicking. Please shut up .
It's understandable that those commercials would piss off some PC users, but Mac users aren't all jerks. Also, Macs can do anything you would really need them to unless you want to build one from scratch or do strange things with it's innards (although you can to some degree, e.g. overclocking). There's a slight disadvantage in that the games come out later (or in rare occasions they don't come out), but that's what THIS is for http://www.engadget.com/2006/04/17/onmac-triple-boots-mac-from-boot-camp/
If I wanted to, I could say things like "In Windows you don't have built-in screen capture", or, "in Windows you can't immediately display all open windows in miniature form on the screen so you can find the one you're looking for" but I think those are just minor differences in the operating system and not really worth mentioning.
Why would you pay $3000 for a sh*tty Mac? A sh*tty Mac is only $579 ( http://store.apple.com/1-800-780-5009/WebObjects/EducationIndividual.woa/6124004/wo/Ls6UbcFbEDi12H6SGtGjABd3dwZ/0.PSLID?mco=68FA49D4&nclm=Macmini ). A good mac is a little over $1000, unless of course you're referring to the 10 Ghz 64-bit G5 quad-processor, which is understandably overpriced...

The truth is, any system has its advantages and disadvantages. While they may not be for some people, today's Macs are great computers. There has always been a bias against Macs just because some people are unfamiliar with them or dislike a certain aspect of them. If you don't like them, that's your own business, I'm just trying to dispell a lot of common myths.
