I kinda figured he was hit by a drunk, 1. The night before logging out he said he had to go to work so it seems he died on the way to work. 2. Apparently the drunk involved was tested and failed a DUI test. Can't administer a DUI test to the dead. You can autopsi but it would take time to get the results (not the same day)
