Okay, quick note on flawed logic. If you kick all the immigrants out, then you've "lost" the 23 Billion tax dollars anyway. But then you've lost all the money paid by the immigrants that DO pay taxes- which totals 16 billion dollars and change, using your calculations. So, in reality, that’s 16 billion dollars gained. Which, by the way, pays for their 20 million dollar medical bill. Not me. Them. So, you can strike those arguments from your presentation and instead offer a rebuttal.
Listen to this. The people in charge have decided to make an American Union of Canada the US and Mexico by allowing every illegal to become legal via loopholes in the guest worker program. One more note: The Crime thing is much better. That- if you cite it- is a strong statistic and represents a real problem. Listen, I hate to be a bleeding heart, but the best way to ensure that Americans get jobs over immigrants is for the government to pass lays requiring employers to pay immigrants the same wages as Americans. Unfortunetaly this isn't enforced, so don't blame the "illegals" for wanting better lives, blame the government for giving it to them.

You know If we legalized immigration that would solve all the problems anyway, since they are legal, they would have to pay taxes, and since they are legal companies would have no incentive to hire them over other s and since they are legal they will have a liveable wage which wont force them to commit crimes. Thus they can avoid the extremely harsh living conditions in mexico. This whole thing really just shows how selfish ya are huh.
If you're looking over the comments, almost all of the people that have had contact with illegal and legal-but-still-mexican know that they're problematic people. Then there are comments of disbelief from sheltered, Americanized people who don't have any working relationship with illegals. Whom do you trust? These statistics are not faked or misleading, guys.

The American ecconomy needs LEGAL immagrents. The illegals don't benifit from us and we don't benifit from them. It's a lose lose. A few small businesses benifit and in most cases the work they do needs to be redone becouse the boss (not emplyees) has no clue what he is doing. While I agree that immigration reform is nessisary, I'm not sure exactly what reform your calling for. Economic sanctions are a good start, but what we really need is a way for all the people that want to come to the country a way to legaly do so. A good reason a majority of illegal immigrents cross without documentation is because there is no system currently in place that allows an entire family to cross in a reasonable ammount of time. Heh, does anyone read comments this far down the list?

Also Codeblue, here's a real argument for you (as no one else seems to want to do it) what do you think about the fact that young Americans are having a harder time finding jobs nowadays? Young Americans with no experience used to be able to work at a gas station or a convenience store as their first job. Twenty years ago you would never walk into a McDonalds and be greeted by someone who didn't speak English, it would simply never happen.
The argument that illegal immigrants take jobs that no one wants to do is completely null and void as someone else was doing them beforehand. My brother owns a landscaping company and I've worked for him,and let me tell you, it's hard labor, but I know plenty of young guys who would do it for the money they can get for it. The point is that some Americans can't get their hands dirty, but you can't account for the entire population of the United States just by those who refuse to work hard to get ahead.

There are U.S. Citizens willing to do sh*tty jobs out there. I heard from a friend of mine that the Drywall buisness down in Los Angeles has been controlled by African Americans for years now. A National Sales Tax that replaces the current income tax plan would fix the problem of lost wages due to individuals not reporting their wages. It would also force drug dealers, prostitutes, armed robbers
and everyone else who doesn't report their wages to pay taxes every time they purchased goods at the retail level. Not to mention allowing us, the wage earners to keep 100% of our wages each pay cycle as well as lowering the prices of retail items due to the removal of the tax burden on the companies pr
producing these items. This would then have the effect of encouraging corporations to keep their business within US borders so that they could take advantage of the tax breaks, that would generate more jobs so more rednecks can buy more Mazdas. If asinine resrtictions on immigration were lifted, and illegal immigrants already in the states were granted full citizenship, then they would pay the taxes appropriate to their income level. If you are willing to pay taxes to provide social services for people born in the USA, why not for Mexican born people?

Also, job loss would be lessened if illegal immigrants were made full American citizens, as they would be covered by minimum wage laws, and their employers would be unable to blackmail them with the threat of deportation.
