I don't understand this. How is this a "stupid response"? And why does the audience laugh? Hell, why does Trebek make his dipsh*t remark? I'm thinking the producers or somebody made this question up just to give Jennings a hard time, the pricks. I know I'm not the only person who has NEVER, EVER heard of an immoral, pleasure seeker being called a rake. Sounds made up to me, i dont believe its true.
American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source rake 2 (rāk) Pronunciation Key
n. An immoral or dissolute person; a libertine.
[Short for rakehell.]
In short, shut up. The WORDS HAVE TO BE THE SAME. A ho does not equal a hoe. Two DIFFERENT spellings. They are looking for 2 words, same spelling. Ken knew it was wrong, he wanted a laugh.
