Mmm... But it does. Its not a direct correlation, but it is logical to concur if violent crime amongst young people on a whole is dropping despite the increase in violent games, then the effect of violent games on kids is not the primary impetus for violent crime. In other words, men like Jack Thompson are over-stating the effect. It does not debunk his theory of such an effect actually existing, but it does demonstrate the effect to be less than he purports.
