1) The level of oppression that sharia imposes on women is much more life altering that whatever gay men have to experience in western countries. The difference is in the degrees, and that doesn't make it less real.
2) Although homosexual tendencies may be gene related, the actions that define a homosexual are purely voluntary, while your gender is not.

Because Rich people don't just bury their money in the back yard, they use it to invest in capitalist ventures that create jobs for people. Same for large corporations, the more money they get to keep, the more they have to start new projects and hire new people. Also look at the the opposite way. How would taking more money from the rich help the economy?
