Thank you very much. One of the things that helped the earlier FF titles was the sprites allowing people to imagine the heroes as they wished, rather than making them realize that the main characters were all angsting pretty boys. Not like that doesn't work once, but that many games in a row gets a little problematic. Kinda odd, considering that most of the art by Yosh*taka Amano (the sole artist up till 6, if memory serves) shows the heroes as even more pale and effeminate than in earlier games.

Frankly, I haven't played 7 yet, so I'm not terribly qualified to comment. My favorite is actually the original FF3, especially with the new DS release. 10's sphere grid was an intriguing way of leveling up, and that earned it a place of respect for me.

I have that recording too, actually . . . I'd probably try doing that one at some point, except the English lyrics mean that for most viewers, the song wouldn't cycle quite as well. Call me an aesthetic wonk, if you will.
