It's very discouraging how little so many of the posters understand about government. They continually complain how corrupt the government is, then think the answer to this is /more government/, as if making it bigger is going to cure social problems. They think allowing for a freer, fairer market to provide for various services instead of having a large, wasteful central government equates to selfishness and hatred to those people a small minority of the people the forcibly taken money would have gone to.

You know.. Joel Godard is always hillariously funny on Conan. The expression of Joel in this just lends itself perfectly to this application and it kinda fits with the kind of stuff they might do with Joel in the show, because he's portrayed as one creepy character.
