Believe it or not, Shemp was the origanal 3rd Stooge when they were doing stage routines. But when they made the move to make cinimatic shorts, Shemp wanted nothing to do with it. So Curly took his place when they started the shorts.

The only thing that makes the pre-PSX gen games supierior to the post-PSX gen games is the fact that the older games offer more challenge in the gameplay department. 3 and 4 are the best in the difficulty department. (3 is practically to a fault, though) 5 is the best in the gameplay department. (a refined Job system that 3 so desperately needed) And 6 is the best in the overall department and in the storyline. (which isn't saying much compared to the rest of the series)

The ones before 7 aren't that much better. 1 and 3 have nameless characters with virtually no story. (The DS version of 3 is supposed to chance that a bit.) 2 has an overly broken battle system. 4 has characters that keep coming back to life for bullsh*t reasons. 5's story is just awful. (Excellent Gameplay, though) And 6 has Celes being saved by a seagull.
