Winston made special effects cool. Using as little computer animation as possible - his creations were realistic, frightening, and above all else, memorable. No single individual in Hollywood special effects today can hold a candle to his prowess. I am saddened that such an icon has faded away and I hope that other, young artists will carry on his legacy of authenticity, grit and skill.
