i thought about making a ytmnd about this after i heard it on digg. you should really be playing the song they made, everyone here has already heard we didnt start the website

Remaking we didn't start the fire didn't originate on ytmnd, and the ytmnd version is relevant only on ytmnd. I don't see how this is necessarily ripping the ytmnd artist off.

but this is extra similar to the ytmnd version because its about internet fad stuff. i found it pretty annoying when i heard it, and thought it seemed ripoff-ish

Oh certainly, I agree.. I just find myself feeling very apathetic about it. I don't feel invaded upon in this situation.

i dont feel invaded nor am I up in arms either, but I just feel like since this is on every major video site now, that it is going to take the shine away from WDSTW... and instead of WDSTW being original, this video will be the next big thing because they ripped the idea and style from YTMND.

The ytmnd version is better, and it is a different parody of the Billy Joel song, which has been parodied many many times before in many other ways, such as "pet names for genetalia", etc.
