i got an email the other day from a stop the racism / stereotypes from a group at my school the other day. in it included stereotypes such as asians are good at math, black people are good athletes and white people don't wear coats. i as a white person, would like to state that i wear a coat. thank you.
spic=latino/mexican/spanish. yid=jew. chinkey=chinese. terrorist=middle eastern. half-breed (same as half-caste. considered racist because they have lower IQ's to not understand that caucasian and black are both castes of people.) traditionally a half black half caucasian person. chav (same as yob, townie, essex-girl/boy) anti-social teenager with low iq that listens to bad music. n*gg*r =black. towel head= usually muslim or arabic, male usually, can be hindu. rag head=muslim traditionally.
Those aren't stereotypes, those are racist slurs. A stereotype, for example, is saying that all cheerleaders are sluts, or that all black people can jump high. That's a stereotype, also known as a preconceived notion about a certain group (such as cheerleaders or black people). Calling someone a mean name due to their ethnicity is not a stereotype, it's a racial slur.
DUDE! What the f*ck is this sh*t? This cover is basically saying whites are the center of all racism? F*ck we don;t need that sh*t. Good thing its on that bs mag. There is no white person on there I cannot f*cking beleive that. Byt hat I mean a middle class average "Cracker". Or a paris hilton silver spooner type even. I hate this world.
Chav is actually the Romany word for "Little Boy", so English use of the word to refer to impoverished, council estate drunken turds is actually a fairly well cloaked bit of racism toward Gypsies that's managed to slip under the radar and into our lexicon. You know, because people are too busy to find out what the words they say mean.
Holy crap, you couldn't publish a periodical in North America with this cover, not even an ultra-left provocateur type like AdBusters, much less a huggy feel-good Utne Reader. I mean, they just wouldn't STOCK it on the stands at Books-A-Million with the words "N*GG*R" and "CHINK". Or they'd demand a porn-mag style plastic wrap. ... Amazingly, this is a tabloid, not a political rag, and the story's stemming from a damn reality TV show...
