Weequay2, I do not think the point was to disrepsect the troops. Nobody wants that. The point is to call attention to the absurd situation you and other members of our military have been placed in by our obnoxious President. We must never forget that the Bush Administration lied to get us into this war and, as this site calls attention to, had no coherent plan for how to wage the war. The punch line? The troops lose a great deal for little gain.
the controversy over this could be argued for years, but me being in the military seeing this made it a point to make an account just to 1 this thing b/c every single person points out the bad and the terrible thigns happening to our forces. Don't any of you know what a 'Hero' is? Despite the fact that war isnt the smartest move, the enemy will win unless we keep our morale high. Pointing out our humiliation and death gives points to the enemy, congratulations, you just helped the terrorists.

"Ohhh, some news reporter said we're doing a bad job... Now I'm gonna lay down and die..." For f*cks sake... I'll respect the courage it takes to fight, but I'll also disrespect the fighting and it's point, and especially the one who ordered the fight. Controversy... People are such pussies.
This war made terrorism a bigger threat to the US than ever. This is a problem that cannot be solved through military power alone. Iraq is extremely delicate right now because the longer the US stays, the more hatred builds from Iraqis and neighbouring states. However if the troops pull out, Iraq's fragile government will collapse, and an all out civil war will occur during the power struggle. Iraq will eventually become the biggest breeding ground for Islamic terrorists in the World.
