I give 1's to site's I disagree with or greatly dislike. I don't give that many sites 2's, 3's, or 4's, but I've still given plenty of them. I'm surprised at how angry you are that people are expressing their opinions through the voting system and giving their own criticisms towards it. Also respond to me on this comment section, I'll keep it tabbed if you want to debate.
Your whole mindset is so singularly focused that thinking about it now is boggling. You sympathize with people who's sites get downvoted off of the Up and coming and you think downvoters shouldn't downvote their sites off the up and coming because you consider them to be good and no one should take that standing away from the creators.
So despite anyone's opinions everyone should just 5 sites to be "nice" or because you consider the sites to be good. The downvoters who only give good votes to the sites they like aren't out of line here. Just because they have a higher standard of quality doesn't mean they're completely in the wrong.
Downvoters in this case doesn't mean anyone who gives less than 2 stars to any site for any reason. It means people who maliciously use alt-accounts to one-star tremendous numbers of sites or are obviously biased in their ratings for no good reason. Using "logic" means more than saying that word in a sentence.
There are plenty of people who alt-account downvote and 1-star 12000+ sites and downvote just to be cool. The problem is that they waste server space just to be douchebags (same as people who randomly upvote, actually, though there are significantly less) just to be douchebags when they don't objectively or truthfully vote. Also, there are people who one-star all the sites of people they don't like blindly, or because they don't like one of theirs. That's just ridiculous.
"If you're going to downvote a site at least leave a comment. It's not that hard." First, that takes forever. If you don't like something, it's dumb to speak your mind because people will downvote your sites. Also, it is not one downvoter taking sh*t off the U&C it's multiple. Also, I'd rather have downvoters than upvoters. Upvoters ruin the ratings system...a half assed site should NOT have a rating over 4...it's the truth. This is just text. Therefore, 3'd.
