To the Wii controller haters (sound update, still looking for a good song)
Is there THAT much a difference?

first of all, it doesn't matter if it's similar to the N64 controller because it's not used the same way. you're forced to use motion detection bullsh*t, which doesn't make the games any more fun. If I really wanted to play tennis, I'd go play tennis, not stand in my living room, swinging a remote control around like a tennis racket. And secondly, the N64 controller sucked *ss anyway.

Did any of the N64 game used the D-Pand anyhow?

Judging by the fact that they look similar if you cut an n64 controller in half and change their positions, that the Wii controller uses motion sensing, it produces sound, and it can have a large number of attachments such as nunchuk, zapper, old style controllers, and many more? I'd say that there's not much of a difference... nope.

Kirby 64 used the dpad, cmosmike. Anyway, nice try, Mightyboy, but... no, the differences are too great. I still hate the controller.
