the NES game was not Earthbound, it was called "Mother" - internet peoples just call it "Earthbound Zero" because that was going to be the US name

The prototype was just named "EarthBound", but "EarthBound ZERO" is the name of the unofficial and illegal ROM. It is best to call the prototype, "NES EarthBound".

Yeah, it's a shame that game wasn't released. Then again, if it was they might not of released the SNES one here. If the first one didn't sell well, that is.

True... But if you consider the release dates, they were either going to have to release Mother or Mother 2 in the US. They had mo other choice.
