Ok, the act of gman moving in a circle around an axis is CENTRIPETAL.
Centripetal is the force that gman needs to stay in motion going around an axis without a rope. (i say without a rope to disambiguate the two, in centripetal force, the rope is irrelevant)
Since gman is attached to a spinning wheel, by ropes makes it CENTRIFUGAL.
Centrifugal is the force acting upon gman which tries to push him away from the axis, hence keeping the ropes taut.
