The F-105 Thunderchief, also known as the Thud, is the criminally unappreciated big cousin of the F-4 Phantom. It was notable mainly for the fact that it was the largest single-engine fighter-bomber ever, it could carry more bombs than some four-engine WWII planes, and was used in Vietnam by the Wild Weasels, a squadron whose sole purpose was to get SAMs to shoot at the so they could figure out where they were, then blow the everloving sh*t out of them.
I re-viewed this site and realized that I can name every weapon pictured from memory and am 97% sure that the armored car they are sitting on is either a Saladin, Saracen APC, or a Ferret Scout Car. Is that a bad thing? Clockwise, starting with leftmost guy sitting on car: StG44, MG34, MG34, FG42, MG34, and MG42.
Fixed the sound so it actually has the semblance of syncing after refresh unlike the suck it was before. Yay. And it took me another 17 400s to do it. Heh.
Jizzmotron, pot + kettle + black. Fallschirmjaegers were frontline combat troops, fighting was their job, not looking for jews. And I work at a WWII musuem in addition to being jewish, so I prooooooooooobably know more than you on this one.
