The UN DID look. They said nothing was there. Meanwhile, North Korea which publically ADMITTED that they had nukes, but Bush decided to go after Iraq anyways. So instead of actually making a difference by neutralizing a real threat, Bush decided to get the States neck deep in the biggest military embarrassment since Vietnam and spend several hundred billion dollars on a war that basically has done absolutely nothing except lower foreign opinion of the US.
