I already had the .gif timed out and MP3ing the audio would have added that 0.05+ seconds to the track and thrown off the audio so I went with the .wav

I can't tell since it loads up so fast now....are you using a preloader with it? I seem to notice it syncing perfectly the first time and then it's delayed for a brief time. I think a preloader will take care of that and it'll be absolutely perfect. btw, awesome site.

Same here, and after the delay it still syncs though...probably because of the .gif, it uses 4 milliseconds per frame, max says 6 milliseconds per works best

It's not just about working best CrazyRay - like it or not IE is the most used browser in the world. It can not play your gif at 4 ms. Nothing is really added by those extra few frames - it is YTMND after all. 4 ms is just not needed

...but it's an existing video (Apple movie trailer site) so I'd have to remove almost half of the 40 frames and change the timing on the remaining which would make it choppy as hell

Most every site I've ever made is from a video. It's not hard to time them. All I'm saying is this isn't video - it's Gif + MP3. A site like this: hooray4batman.ytmnd.com - I don't think anything is lost with those omitted frames (I actually do only 10 FPS). But I did eventually view this is gay FireFox so scored adjusted
