The fireworks comment is fictitious (although it could be correct), it's purpose serves only to bring attention to how many deaths are caused by other incidents. Such as suicide, accidents, drink driving all of which are much higher than 2-3 deaths per year. I care about both sides. My aim is get pro-Israelis to question how the current military action is acceptable. Getting a zealot to question their reasoning is not exactly easy.

I don't know about calling it genocide. Ok, I'll admit my new is biased, so correct me where needed. Doesn't Israel give warning to certain areas for civilians to leave 3 hours before an attack. Hamas was elected by popular vote, so if it were genocide, Israels target of "Hamas and supporters" would be broadened. I think we would see much more casualties. I'm not pretending to be an expert in this area at all but that is why I think it's too early to call genocide. War crimes may bea more legitamate label.
