| All I know is almost everyone I like is now featured (re: people who come up with their own ideas). Don't forget to add pgn2b to the featured list. I'm not sure why those people are no longer featured (add Goneja to that list) unless Max is rotating users. |

| I wouldn't worry too much about the people who lost their status. They are all popular users and their horrible fad sites will still get ridiculously high ratings while their good, original sites will tank (or is it the other way around). | ||||||

| One question though: Why is there a dramatic change all of a sudden? Some of the users just added should have been there a long time ago (like hanktherapper, mattdh12, AwesomeBob) and some should have been removed a while ago (like RySenkari and DonaldMcRonald), but it seems to me the algorithms for featured user status are now all screwed up. Why is someone qualified, like dmaz, who has several sites with a lot of views, votes, and high ratings, removed from the list to let someone like FF0080, (continued) | ||||||

| I have never understood the algorithms behind the featured user list. I think it's better now in that most of the new people are more creative and make better sites. I think I figured out why those people were removed from the list. Max said that he was going to base the list on more current activity than overall activity. Most of the users removed have not released a lot of sites lately. And those who have--were not rated that well. | ||||||
| Now I don't know why people like lowcast or korf were added when they haven't released a site in a while. Still, I'm glad they were. Maybe Max did consult people over who should be added. | ||||||

| This time around, it started with a fresh run of the algorithm then incorporated edits from btape and teknorat, so if you want to blame anyone for not being on or being on the list, point your hate that way. Hopefully the list will rotate around and change more often to get more good content makers highlighted. Also shoover is right. |

| A good way to find out if a user is still really featured (take Goneja for an example since his name shows up in black font) is to click the USERS tab and browse the users. Goneja's name will show up pink there. But when I saw Omni's name in there, I realized it was in the regular brown font. Any featured user should show up pink. | ||||||
