Yea, people always say "what does having sites have to do with anything." While it doesn't give any absolute insight, it is noteworthy. I'm going to respect someone's opinion a helluva lot more if I see they've made great sites.

Because people that have sites tend to know more about the rating system and have more experience on making their sites as good as they want them to so they know how to get good ratings. People mention these bad comments and say they have no sites because they have no idea what it is like to have a site like this. If they do have good sites, usually it is alright because they understand.

Don't get so upset because I voted one and very elegantly explained my distaste for a site you happen to like. It's not a personal attack on your efficacy to accurately judge and enjoy a site. My voting record shows that I'm fairly fair and balanced. It's an honest opinion. And who says I don't have any sites?

While you think your vote may seem fair, it seems stupid in this case. I take it the 4.5 ROFL was a remark on how high the site was rated. Thus, feeling as the site was rated higher than you think it should be, you downvoated it. Thus, you are not judging the content you're judging it's score, and you're implying that is the score was lower you would have given it a higher rating. If that's the case then that's weak. Going out of your way to balance a vote record doesn't mean you're fair.

Kaizen, i agree that most ppl on ytmnd are geeks and virgins, but you're missing the fact that rating is proportionate to content, they are not separate as you would prefer to see... downvoting or upvoting is completely legit, when i vote i think of the people that are new to ytmnd, i dont want them to think that a bad site is good becuz it has a high rating, i want the rating to represent the content

sometimes the only way to change a score to what you think it should be is to give it a drastic rating, you dont change things by being indifferent or moderate, so for someone to disagree with a high rating they must downvote as much as possible since it takes A LOT to really bring the score down...
