Kefka, unlike other Final Fantasy villains, was only a man. A demented man seeking ultimate power. This is why I think he is one of the greatest villains of the series. And just like Hillary.

Who cares if he was just a man? What made him great was that he was a f*cking psycho. He had pretty much no reason for doing anything he did, he just did it cause he felt like it. Now that's what made him a great villain. Well that and him being probably the only clown to ever to secure a seat of power within a major government.

What made him a good villain was the fact that, unlike Kuja, Sephiroth, Ultimicea, Zemus, St. Ajora, and Sin, he actually had a personality. Moreover, he is prevalent as a villain the entire game, and you fight him multiple times in the story. There are too many Final Fantasys where the main boss is introduced rather late in the plot and has almost no lines or interaction with the main characters til the very end, making him a rather lackluster villain and leaving no worthwhile impression on the gamer.

Thats why I like The Joker too. Kefka was just messed up. Best part was when he poisoned the castle water supply, and just loved to hear the screams of the people. The best villains are regular men/women that are so messed up in the head that even the other villains in their respective universe are scared to get on their bad side. Plus everything killabee, wild09, and heebs said go along with this as well.

In the end, the evil we relate to best looks most like our own. Thus, <3 Kefka.

Plus Kefka was the only one who ever actually succeeded in becoming a GOD, and holding that position for an appreciable amount of time. There was a whole year where he just rained torment across the entire world, so much so that it become known as the world of ruin. That is hardcore right there. what did the other villains do? Kefka didn't have lackies. That is what made Sephiroth inferior as well. Whoever has the best lackey makes the best villain. And which Final Fantasy villain had the best lackey? ExDeath. He might have been a tree, but Gilgamesh was retarded enough to try and use a fake Excalibur setup by his boss to kill the good guys. That is epic lackey right there.
