You should cut out a few of the frames at the beginning. It takes a little long to build up before the chain chomp runs after them.

Actually I have a better idea, but it would require more editing. While they are standing there contemplating their jump, having the chain chomp come hopping after them from a great distance and time it so they start to jump as the chain chomp finally gets close to them. You don't have to do it, but it would look good imo.
