| This is a long comment. This long comment probably at first makes you think of how much politics makes people type in long comments. Its funny how these people probably say "gtfo f*g" and stuff regularly but when politics comes up they make this long comment. It is so long that it makes you think you want to write an opinion about this long comment with just as long of a comment. bla bla politics bla bla bush bla bla tax cuts either way it will make you feel smart. |

| Screw Ron Paul. Once he dug into the files and revealed 9/11 was caused be terrorists anyway, what then? You think he could run a country? No way. |

| Obama is going to win despite what anyone in america votes (because it doesn;t really matter we haven't had a say in the goverment in YEARS) then they possibly might even assassinate him for the second Catostrophic event. Mark my words. If it comes true they'll do a f*cking A&E show on me.
BTW has anyone noticed how EVERY talk show and EVERY tv show and EVERY website has pics of Obama splattered all over them?
You;re all f*cking brainwashed. Simple minded fools. |

| 1. Rudy was in Iowa for 57 or so days. 2. Ron Paul really did not campaign in Iowa that much. He, his staffers and other supporters wrote that state off. | ||||||

That Rudy didn't even campaign in Iowa. Congrats, Paulie beat a guy who didn't even want to run in Iowa. | ||||||
| McCain barely campaigned in Iowa. This tells me that Ron Paul got _beat_ by a guy who has invested little time in Iowa. | ||||||
| Rudy was in Iowa 57 days. | ||||||
| Seriously, was anyone expecting Ron Paul's Internet presence to result in a win? I figured it was common knowledge that Ron Paul was the Snakes on a Plane of presidential candidates. |

| Actually, there have only been two presidential cannidates to have ever won the Iowa presidential cacuaus that have ever won the presidency and the only non-encumbant was GWB in 2000. In fact Ronald Regan lost the Iowa cacaus to GHB back in 1980 and GHB did not win the Iowa cacaus when he ran in 1988. |

| ^excellent use of search engines! also, it seems to me that you should be voting for a candidate that supports more education funding, because you are are an ass. (yeah i know, i didnt really know where to go with that joke) |

| "communist-style facism? true communism = far left. fascism = far right. once you realize that, you will be allowed to analyze anything politically. until then, you lose."
Actually, they're flip sides of the same coin. Hitler and Stalin were best friends. The communists even helped out the Nazis to win in Germany, before Hitler turned on them. |

| NEDM kitty for the YTMND mascot | ||||||

| maddogsoldier, Russian communism is not true communism, but rather totalitarianism. Not everyone was equal in Russian communism, some were more equal than others (to quote Animal Farm). True communism boasts equality for all. No one was equal to Stalin, so it wasn't technically communism. | ||||||
| I've heard this argument before. Here's why I disagree: First, you are aware that the Soviet Union is not the only nation that attempted communism or used communist rhetoric. Be aware that Red China under Mao's revolution made many of the same claims you did about Russia. The result? A similar, but in many ways, worse nation than Soviet Russia. Cuba. Cuba had its own communist revolution, spouting much of the rhetoric of Lenin and Marx, but it grew into a despotic nation. | ||||||
| The hard leftists who go there and claim that it is a great place are sent to the places where all the other western tourists go, namely, the best parts. Cambodia's Khmer Rouge was said to have much promise when it started. It even received blessings from Noam Chomsky. The result? One of the world's grossest violators of human rights in the history of humanity. Other nations have tried similar experiments, using Marxist/Leninist rhetoric, with marginal results at best. | ||||||
| and Kudos for Conine. | ||||||

| Are people on ytmnd really going to throw punches at Ron Paul, the only candidate who truly understands our current economic crisis, our need to leave Iraq, and our rights and freedoms provided by the Constitution? After plenty of research I am convinced that every American citizen with a sound mind wants Ron Paul to win whether they know it or not. Please weigh your options and become well informed before you vote! |

| So....if anyone but Ron Paul wins the presidency, the result will be fascism? You're a fool. Listen to yourself. |
+6 | |||||
| Theocracy? Are you f*cking retarded? "Religious morality will always inform the voting choices of Americans of all faiths," he writes. "...The collectivist left is threatened by strong religious institutions, because it wants an ever-growing federal government to serve as the unchallenged authority in our society.... So the real motivation behind the insistence on a separation of church and state is not based on respect for the First amendment, but rather on a desire to diminish the influence |
+4 | |||||
| of religious conservatives at the ballot box." Ron Paul's own words. Let's compare those words to some choice selections from the U.S. Consitution: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion; ...no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States. |
+4 | |||||
| Wanna talk about fascism? http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.4379: Paul attempted remove protections from arbitrary local and state action against individual liberties with this laughable piece of legislation. Real freedom-loving guy. |
+3 | |||||
| Actually most of the candidates are just puppets for the shadow elite that want to bring fascism to this country. They also own the mainstream media, which is why Ron Paul doesn't get the attention he deserves. Most of what they focus on is the candidates they want to sear into your mind. They say jump and you say how high. Brainwashed slaves. Educate yourselves. |
-2 | |||||
| Proof that every single candidate other than Ron Paul is as you described? Maybe we're not the only ones who need education... |
+1 | |||||
| Sorry guys... i can't find my monocle... I guess i'll just sit this one out |
+5 | |||||
| considering http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.4379 tries to LIMIT the jurisdiction of the supreme court, and leave decisions up to the local governments, where they should be...I'd say that is freedom loving. |
-1 | |||||
| Yeah, it leaves local and state courts free to impose restrictions on birth control, sexuality, and integration. Which is exactly what the supporters of the bill wanted. | ||||||
| I trust the local and state officials to make the decisions regarding their community moreso than the overarching federal govt. If those said officals abuse their power in regards to those topics, make unpopular restrictions, etc...they would get voted out where need be. Power in the hands of the people, where it should be. | ||||||
| That's fine, but there needs to be some oversight at the national level. You don't have to dig very deep to find examples of arbitrary and repressive state and local actions. Just look at Jim Crow laws. | ||||||
| ^Which disappeared over 40 years ago.... |
+1 | |||||
| What, you think there aren't states and localities that wouldn't love to revive them? You're deluded. |
-1 | |||||
| I think that it is insane to imply that a state nowadays would even dream of implementing anything like Jim Crow laws. Between then and now, racist group ideology and participation has steadily declined. The Ku Klux Klan membership has shrunken to negligible numbers. You will find more people to assemble for 'Magic: The Gathering'. In the modern day environment, it would be practically impossible to do such a thing when one takes into consideration the enormously bad press that the state would receive. |
+1 | |||||
| Not to mention, the hideously negative economic effects that would likely occur, due to worldwide resentment. A more likely scenario would be that California legalizes all drug use, or at worst, some state like Alabama would allow for religious displays at public schools. |
+1 | |||||
| Exactly madDogSol...though I don't know about ALL drug use, but I could see marijuana legalized in CA. | ||||||

| Hahahaha |
-1 | |||||
| haha, awesome. republicans are horrible, but ron paul is a real lunatic among them. I actually thought he was okay at first glance, but there was a huge discussion online where people started pulling skeletons out of the closet. racist remarks, anti-semitism, paranoia, suicidal economic beliefs, theocratic leanings, unusable social policy. The veneer of a messianic, gentle conservative evaporated after only 400 or so posts worth of collective research |
-3 | |||||
| He has, on his campaign website, the claim that the United Nations is attempting to levy a direct tax on people. This is absolutely hyperbole demagoguery at the highest degree. No sane person can claim that a non-governmental TREATY organization has the authority or ever will have the authority to claim taxes from member nations. Not even the European Union can manage this, and it's semi-governmental. Ron Paul is a real conspiracy nutjob. | ||||||
| And this gem: The tired assertion of a separation of church and state has no historical or constitutional basis. Neither the language of the Constitution itself nor the legislative history reveals any mention of such separation. In fact, the authors of the First amendment- Fisher Ames and Elbridge Gerry- and the rest of the founders routinely referred to Almighty God in our founding documents. It is only in the last 50 years that the federal courts have perverted the meaning of the amend |
-2 | |||||
| ment and sought to unlawfully restrict religious expression. We cannot continue to permit our Constitution and our rich religious institutions to be degraded by profound misinterpretations of the Bill of Rights. |
-2 | |||||
| Also, check out which candidate the mentalcases on stormfront.org have a f*cking boner for. You guessed: Ron Paul. |
-1 | |||||
| Just as a clarification, Mast: EU Member States pay loads of tax to the EU, and it's not really semi-governmental, it's a supranational government to which Members give up their sovereignty - EU Directives are indirectly totally binding. |
-1 | |||||
| Members don't pay a tax to the EU, they pay a membership fee. The EU has no right to assert taxes over the membership countries. They don't "give up" sovereignty, it's more as in sharing sovereignty. | ||||||
| The only difference between a tax and a membership fee is the name. They both do the same thing, get your moneys. | ||||||
