I think you're ignoring the fact that a number of these Nintendo-themed sites (or even product placement or headpasting YTMNDs) feature arbitrarily-included characters and references instead of some form of more original humor. In this case, the inclusion of Boo makes complete sense: He says Boo Box, but instead of a chest full of scorpions, you get Boos. Is Nintendo in YTMNDs tired? Sure, but it was used appropriately here. It's not another "Chase = Mario Kart" site.

I liked Hook better than most recent incarnation of Peter Pan. The absolute worst was the one starring Mary Martin as Pan. Oh well, they both had their charms. In Peter Pan 1960, Pan was a grown woman pretending to be a little boy. In Hook, Pan was . . . Robin Williams? Well, they also had a 300-pound, full grown black man with a genetic defect that makes him retain the appearance of a 12-year-old kid, much like Andy Milonakis.

Hook was the sh*t. Robin Williams is gold. Best incarnation of Peter Pan still.
