I think you need to have seen the movie in order for this to be suspenseful, because I saw it and I was expecting balloon tricks but now that I think about it apparently they're supposed to be bad *ss motherf*ckers, but I didn't get that. Perhaps a "we're badass motherf*ckers" montage would fix that. For instance, someone choked to death with a balloon animal, a guy's head in a pie tin, etc.

Hmmm, I see where you're coming from. I felt that it would still work with them glaring at the Asians though, seeing that each face during the camera pan was quite intimidating. If I was staring at that from the wrong end of that table, I'd sh*t myself.

Coulrophobia: not everyone has it. The first guy has stark blue sad eyes. The others are sort of eye-neutral, and the last guy looks like a f*cking maniac. That's when I was tipped off that these might not be depressed clowns unsatisfied with their won-ton soup and might in fact be badass motherf*ckers. It may still work, but it still seems like sad clowns seek refund for bad won-ton soup to me. Which is sort of funny... +1

That last guy is dead BTW. Killed himself shortly after the movie was released, which gave it some press. o, maybe he really was f*cked in the head. One good thing to come of it was Russell Crowe.

I just watched this movie tonight because of this YTMND. It was pretty good. It's like the first hour of A Clockwork Orange stretched over 2 hours, except with skinheads. My only complaint was the sub-par love story.
