Opus has long commented on these types of things. Both the YTMND and the cartoon took the content from NASA. It isn't like the "A Tiny Glimpse" site was 100% original content made by the user.

i read that comic in the paper, and i do think its a coincidence, since Breathed isn't the type of guy to rip other peoples, work, after having a long series and going into doing Sunday only strips, i think he just delved into something that other people have also found.

Well, NASA did point the Hubble for a week in an area of space that looked like nothing was there, and the pic in the newspaper was posted by NASA, which was then used for the "Tiny Glimpse" YTMND and the Opus cartoon. Nobody is ripping off anything.

Smoothmedia didn't take the pictures and zoom in and discover galaxies, he wasn't the first to create a sequential site, and he wasn't the first (if he did it at all) to blow up a section of the images in frame. Smoothmedia is certainly guilty of plagiarism, but the Opus guy did something new with the idea.
