I don't like it- it has some humor but not enough to justify the long running time. it puts too much stock in the notion of fads, is the main thing. this seems to assume they're the end-all, be-all lifeblood of the site, which i'm not sure i agree with. There is not much irony or intelligence on display in this site, either. The fact that you built this entire thing around a single extensive soundclip but didn't directly address its worth intrigues but mainly perturbs me.

It's around 3 minutes. Do we really have so little patience around here that we can't handle a 3 minute presentation? I know ytmnd's are traditionally short and absurd "inside jokes" (which I love), but I feel like there's room here for more creativity too. When we have a clear cut set of rules for how a ytmnd has to be, we will be stifling the artform. And yes, ytmnd is certainly a medium for art.

About the notion of fads.. SITE DELETED is not centered around fads. If you sensed an assumption of "fads are the end-all, be-all lifeblood of the site", then you are mistaken. Personally I think fads usually just lead to a mass of boring, uncreative site clones.

About the sound. I used parts of all 3 songs from the Holy Grail opening, but it isn't one single soundclip (I had to time and edit everything). And what.. you expected me to address the music somehow? You think that would create irony? I used the music because I love Monty Python.. and the act of using it alone is acknowledging that. I don't think throwing in the Spanish inquisition would have added anything but more waste.

I wanted to make this ytmnd simple and straighforward, yet have substance, and I'm willing to step on the toes of the die-hard traditionalists to make a few people smile for 3 minutes. PEACE kos
