If done right it is seamless. I've seen a bunch done right. But yes, this one is off, and it kills the suprise.

I think you can never do one truly seamless for every person, because the preloader will jump up, down, or not jump depending on your resolution.

It's surprising if the image is small in filesize, negating the wait time and leading the user to believe that the preloader itself is off-center while the page is loading.

The preloader bases its position on two things: First, monitor resolution, and second, window size, and it is therefore impossible to create a "seamless," synced preloader YTMND. The only truly "seamless" preloader YTMNDs (such as ROY4L's) do not actually use any preloader at all, largely because one is not needed (in ROY4L's case the sound was simply ambient music). An alternative, like I said, is to ensure that your image and sound have very small filesizes, which make the preloader pass by very quickly.

Needs some more work, and it could be awesome. Faux Loading screen re-positions itself after actual loading, killing your desired effect.
