Hah, it looks like he's huddling in a puddle of urine just waiting for the trip to end. Also, does anyone know how Nintendo got the music like that? Did the game apply a filter to the music, or did it just cut to a different track?

I do not have a complete answer, yet I know that one of the (few) touted benefits of using a cartridge as opposed to stored music on larger optical format, was the ability to alter, distort, speed up or slow down music in real time. I suspect this is what was done in Yoshi's Island. Every byte mattered, I don't think they had the room to store extra "tracks" whenever it was convenient.

We used to just touch the fuzzies for hours and try to do stuff while yoshi was loopy. And we'd go flying off platforms and stuff. Sooo much fun!

Better image, smoother loop, better title, singular focus. This YTMND is not entirely original, but that's like saying peanut butter isn't an improvement on the peanut.
