no..in the book. its a poisonous plant thats been gone for millons of years...to show up on the island..she took it to show hammond and confront him about it. It will kill any dino around do to the poisons in it if eaten. she was to ask Why is this here!? and his remark was. cause it can be here. most of the plants i have grown was from around they're time..sorta wrapped back around somewhat to the triceritops. it ate the plant...but also pregent..do to frog dna. lmao. irony!

Actually it's from South America, deep in the forest, but used to be plentiful everywhere. Just touching it can make you sick (oops! lol) Also a different plant made the dinosaur (A steg in the book, trike in the movie) sick. West Indian Lilac. And yes, I know too much about JP for my own good.
