I had no idea about the Graphic Novel, but wow. I was really against this film before... what with Troy, and Alexander sucking so much balls and c*ck that my blue shirt turned pink while viewing it. I am not impressed. A movie can not portray a comic's style better than the comic. So why try to imitate it? The directors decision to pick immitation over innovation will make this ho-hum cinematography.
