My interpretation of this is as follows: The ants continue their life unthinkingly, doing what is being told to them by instinctual feelings. The ant being the only one standing still is a representation of the fact that none of the ants have the intellectual capacity to do such a thing and being a thinking being he stands alone. Im sure that it can be interpreted differently depending on the person.

I like this. Thoughtful and unexpected. Also ... This version of the song blows the original away. Ever hear the original? The msuic does not match the words at all - The lyrics strum up melancholy and dreamy thoughts and the Gary Jules version does that beautifully.
