5' gives off a strange, slightly creepy, but nostalgic type mood, quite a rare one.

Early version of the site used music from Firefly, but was changed to Myst quickly, like a dolt, I forgot to take out the old keywords. Gone now. :)

It's not funny or amusing, just interesting. I couldn't help to think that this would be a perfect setting for some type of horror movie. I was also sad, especially about seeing a decent rollercoaster going to waste.

Yeah, apparently there are a lot of sights like this in Japan due to the recession they've been feeling for awhile. It's a sad thing, though it's worth mentioning that the movie Spirited Away kicks off in an abandoned amusement park and a few words of explanation are given. I enjoyed this YTMND, though, the music was a good choice and made it tragic. Not the traditional YTMND I would reserve 5's for, but it evoked a good reaction and that's what good art (which in this case is juxtaposition) does.
