It doesn't even make sense, actual sites that people like are being killed while 2 star and below sites with, say, 3 views just sit there. What sparked this mass killing anyways? I say stop killing our YTMNDs, do what really needs to be done. Ban DR-1337, marshall, and sexymofo, work on an interchangable skin option, just do something productive rather than delete some of our old favorite sites.

This is one reason why ytmnd is going downhill is because it's becoming less independent than ever. However, they're is one way to bypass that message and it's simple. Just reupload your site again without making any changes at all and that's how I got my site up again! :P

Quit your whining. The only reason why people APPROVE of this site and its message is because they DISAPPROVE of some of the decisions of the mods, which is bound to happen unless they didn't kill at all. Ever wonder if there's a REASON for every kill, and that it's independent of page views/score? This is not a democracy. Max chooses mods. Mods moderate based on their own judgement. If Max does not approve of their work, he un-mods them. That's the way it works. If you don't like it, go to 4chan.

It's only natural that people with "power" will begin to abuse it eventually.

It's irrelevant whether Max can or can't delete these sites himself or appoint people to delete these sites. Likewise, we can just not come anymore. This is a way of getting Max's attention that we are unsatisifed with these arbitrary deletions. If he doesn't, some people might leave. Sure, he can delete these sites all he wants. He can delete the whole of YTMND if he wants. It's just that he'll have less people here if he does.

Every site that I've seen deleted either contained a shocking, unrelated image to the YTMND title, hadn't been viewed but a dozen times within the last YEAR, or, as is obvious, clearly crossed the line in the ToU. Also, the f*cking "Site Deleted" paragraph says that you are allowed to contest your site's deletion with a moderator. So, good f*cking waste of your $35, c*ckf*g.

A lot of killed sites are old worthwhiles by authors who no longer vist and therefore can't edit it back to normal. That and the fact that a mod that really cared would probably just kill it again tells me it's not that viable of a solution. Better to stop this crap before it comes to that.

Max (who, by the way, has the highest kill rate) has told us what the rules for modding are, and it has almost nothing at all to do with the ToU. If you can't make a site that doesn't have a blatant cuss word / racist / sexual/ drug / whatever reference in it, then you need to gtfo or stop whining. I'm glad your boss is so nice, but most of them, including the advertisers', are not, and would fire people for sites like that. We only kill illegal sites anyway (porn). Anything else gets NSFW'd.

Also, reread that message. Note that, in Max's own words, "or it just plain sucks" is an applicable reason. Max and a select few like adverb (who has left YTMND) and inkdrinker are pretty much the only mods who do that, because most other mods are too scared that they'll get their mod privlages revoked anyway.

Personally I think there should be an appeals process for killing sites for this reason, especially BEFORE they are killed. Everyones idea of funny is different and some people are square and just have issues grasping stuff. Except WoW sites, they are just gay.

Yes, it is an opinion. But for some reason people are yelling at mods who they *think* are killing based on taste, wihle completely shielding Max WHO MAKES THE RULES as if he is totally innocent. Remember when the Myspace Suicide fad exploded? Max gave us all permission to start killing myspace sites because he hated them. I never did, but plenty of other mods did.
