Wow... well done... I'm a grown man what doesn't have any truck with supernatural mumbo jumbo, and those parts of that movie still spook me in a pit-of-my-stomach way. If you liked "Ringu," may I recommend a Kiyoshi Kurosawa movie, "Kyuaa (Cure)" - not the same kind of horror movie, but will definitely f*ck with your mind.

the original ring was a lot freakier than the american one for sure, although I kind of liked the american version for showing the cursed video as TV commercials at 3 AM in the morning with no hint as to what it's for (i.e. no promo, just the cursed tape being shown). That sh*t was pretty creepy.

The Major Reason he can't upload this to Newgrounds. In general, remotely interesting flash animation do better on YTMND, because the majority of the community isn't used to these kind of YTMNDs. If you were to host this on a site where Flash is the core of the site, then people would recognize it as a simply average Flash cartoon, and it wouldn't get anywhere. You primarily succeed when uploading Flash to YTMND.

"You primarily succeed when uploading Flash to YTMND." Big problem with doing that is that you can't upload Flash to YTMND. You CAN use a Flash PRELOADER though, and use LARGE CAPITAL LETTERS for emphasis.

As I just said in a PM...you make a Flash...THEN, you make it into a GIF. In other words, its a Flash Animation in GIF form.

Nice i recognise the imageready and i think you only used 15 colors... i think... though thats not 8 bit ... 8 bit is a lot more... worse thats like 16 bit

16 colors = 4-bits per pixel.

Sorry, but I really don't think you made this. Reason why is that I've seen a couple of other GIF images that use almost the exact style ... even the thing with the japanese letters.
