As terrible as it is that all these people have died, it's certainly not cause to hate the people who didn't mourn them or hate Steve Irwin. He didn't know he was going to die this day and I doubt anyone here actually knew of the other atrocities. It's not as though they said "Oh, f*ck those guys, Steve Irwin rocks!" They simply didn't notice and were drawn to the news story that told of their personal hero being suddenly killed. Anyone who doesn't care about any of these events is heartless.

Steve Irwin was an environmentalist, a conservationalist, and a total badass who entertained millions of people, while educating them on the dangers (and non-dangers) of animals from all over the world. Not to say that his life has more value than anyone else's, but um, those 6 kids who burned never taught me sh*t other than "make sure you know where the nearest fire extinguisher is", which I already knew.

I'm going to be neutral here...would any of these deaths you mentioned make good ytmnd material. For many ytmnd'ers here, they enjoyed watching Steve and his tactics, but they don't know some of the other people who died. On the other hand, poking fun at dead people like the events you mentioned would just be low. Still give a 3 for mentioning the officer death, that Ralph is guy is still out there in my region.
