I've found that if you leave some people positive comments/votes they go on to check out your sites....at least that is what i do....and get.....sometimes.

Actually, as long as the user keeps making decent sites then you will pick up a few more views and votes here and there. I'll agree though, if it gets rated 3.8 or lower it pretty much dies.

actually i had my sites come back from abyss back to up and comming. Also you hsould mention that after it goes to abyss, the score gradually decreases at a slaow rate until it evens out at about 3.4 or 3.2, depending on the initial score

The alternative is your site stays on up-and-coming throughout the day, then gets a few thousand views, struggles to stay top 15, then fails to hold. It's like a bottle rocket on the geological calendar.

So so true. My second ever on the Up & Coming (http://alderaanexploding.ytmnd.com/ )was only on there for about 30 seconds until some lame *ss downvoters got at it. At least my first U&C one was there for a good hour or so.

Hey my YTMND went off up and coming for about 45 mins, after that it shot back up to 3rd on the list. I guess I'm just lucky huh? 5 for you because I'm not a dick who goes around downvoting the up&comings higher than me so that mine will go up.

pretty accurate. but sites can fall off and get back on all the time. if you are a more active user and people are clicking your profile then it has the chance for friendly eyes to give you a hand back up for a second chance. if you never vote or comment your profile will gain cobwebs.
