starman, I did use ms sans serif, it matched the best. Unfortunately I didn't think to just save the error page and edit the text in the html, instead of using a picture editor.

There has got to be way to set this as my new error page from now on.

I'm fairly certain there's a registry edit that lets you set any html file as your 404 or DNS error page. If I can figure it out, I'll put it here.

It's a little late....

As I now realize, you can only change the DNS error page, since 404 errors are server-side. The registry entry for the internet explorer DNS error page is "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software/microsoft/internet explorer/main" entry "local page". If you save the gif image, and then stick it in an html file and save it, you can change the value here to that HTML file (just make sure it's in a directoty that you can enter in regedit from memory).

So much subtlety in that. It was awesome. I particularly liked the song choice and the repitition of "enormous amounts of material".
