They are an art group, 10 seconds on that "im with zombie" blog and i figured that out. On that blog it links to another livejournal blog where she talks about various projects she's done with other 'famicon' people. One in particular with a toy show in tokyo. all that to say, this 'investigation' although started as a forced fad actually turns up some VERY interesting artistic perspectives. Her geometric work is especially interesting (to me at least).
