It's weird, IMDB says nothing of his death. And he may still be the voice of Splinter, dialouge for animated movies are usually recorded very early, before they begin the animation.

Unknown to many, but I loved him in Conan. He'd have made a perfect Splinter, too.

It doesn't mention that he was in "Sidekicks" with some douche he trained to be a martial artist where he met CHUCK NORRIS, who later knocked the piss out of Joe Piscapo, but that had to have been a stunt double for Chuck because if he had actually fought him, Piscapo would still be spinning above that ring.
