You actually included a COUPLE of mediocre presidents. Maybe you could just stick to the famous good ones.

The true goodness of some of the "famous good ones" is controversial and many attribute those notions to secrecy of the office or revisionist history. I felt it best to stick to presidents from ages past so either their greatness is unquestioned or the details of their time in office is less well-known. I also felt the generation gap would help to make Dubya stand out even more.

Grant was a horrible president, Harrison only in office 30 days. I see your point about revisionist history and using presidents from ages past, but I mean, you coulda put Monroe and Madison in there instead.

Duly noted, but for what it's worth, this was my first YTMND. I included Grant because he made the $50 bill. I included Harrison as a nod to him and his untimely demise; he might not've been a bad president. We'll never know.

if theres one thing i decided by watching Battlestar Galactica (yes, you're allowed to groan at this) its that being the top dog ultimately will have you at some point doing some terrible sh*t. tracing my family history far back enough i've found that im related to both john kerry and george w bush. in a more direct line related to another US president who is pretty much universally considered a bad president. i still havent even done the research to see if he was really all that bad.
