-2 because it does not look very much like 8-bit.
2006-06-27 18:30:55

holy crap that music is AWESOME
2006-06-27 18:32:09

the music may be 8-bit, but Gman goes unchanged. Fail.
2006-06-27 18:34:47

Very nice, but looks 16-bit, not 8-bit. Here, i made you a more 8-bit looking version. Use it for full 5 stars. http://www.cataclaw.com/gman.png
2006-06-27 18:38:57

Music's great.
2006-06-27 18:39:30

2006-06-27 18:44:21

Needs more 8-bitness, but you've got a good idea going.
2006-06-27 18:44:45

I love it. 5!
2006-06-27 18:46:06

2006-06-27 19:23:41

2006-06-27 19:29:41

yea, 8 bit graphics were so low quality back then, you can really see the difference here, 5'ed. no really, lol sarcasm.
2006-06-27 19:50:54

did you use nerd tracker? I cant get any sound to play in it!!!
2006-06-27 19:57:46

16-bit maybe!?
2006-06-27 20:00:34

Nice music and all, but I still see a blocky Gman in my head...
2006-06-27 20:02:30

nice sound but you need to work on the picture
2006-06-27 20:03:44

8-bit sound FTW
2006-06-27 20:04:34

Rofl!
2006-06-27 20:04:43

-2, not 8-bit enough... try to use fewer colors for the file, to give it that 1987 look.
2006-06-27 20:07:38

not 8 bit at all, but 5 for audio
2006-06-27 20:09:01

the sound was really cool, but that image wasn't very 8-bit :'(
2006-06-27 20:16:06

I dunno about g-man but I'm sure having a wonderful time.
2006-06-27 20:18:58

NIIIIICE ONE!!
2006-06-27 20:19:21

Make the song longer!
+1
2006-06-27 20:20:39

GMan looks far too good to be 8-bit.
2006-06-27 20:35:16

Not 8 bit, but the music is great.
2006-06-27 20:38:52

Just make it more 8-bit so you can get more 5's and it will be better
2006-06-27 20:43:24

That's like Sega Genesis graphics, not NES. But the music was pretty good.
2006-06-27 21:55:14

Once again: http://www.cataclaw.com/gman.png
2006-06-28 01:11:03

the balogna is in the nest, the pastrami is recyclable.
2006-06-28 07:14:02

Change the name to "16-bit" & start a new fad maybe?
2006-06-30 00:46:34

1 of the more wonderful synths
2006-07-03 02:13:57

The music XD
2006-07-03 10:14:13

256 COLOR TIME :(
2006-07-03 10:17:16

It is 16 colors using a dithering method. The technique has been used in countless 8-bit tech demos and games to make things appear more colorful.
2006-07-03 11:39:57

looks more like 16bit to me ...
2006-07-03 11:45:33

nice
2006-07-03 11:58:28

That is 16 bit X.X
2006-07-04 16:52:26

UNIVERSE TIER
2006-07-08 23:10:05

image looks too high-quality for NES, and it seems like there should be more trappings of NES title screens (I.E. "Licensed by Nintendo, Copyright 1989", etc.)
2006-07-15 15:07:19

Sound is so gorgeous
2006-07-19 17:37:29

If that's 8-bit, my balls are 32-bits with a Sega accelerator shoved up my ass...
2006-08-04 19:46:28

needs sprites... but that doesn't help the fact that i'm 5eding this anyway for wonderful 8-bit mix lol
2006-08-07 12:47:21

Love the chiptune, but you need to tighten up the graphics. An authentic 8bit system palette and hand-painted gfx would work wonders.
2006-08-07 16:27:58

Music is in NES style but the picture isn't.
2006-08-12 19:13:09

5 for great NES remix. Yeah, more 8bit.
2006-08-17 18:50:12

Music wins.
2006-08-22 01:25:27

At least you got the authentic NES font!
2006-08-22 07:44:19

Yay Gecko! didn't realize you created this awesomeness.
2006-08-27 14:28:24

WRONG!
2006-09-01 21:29:30

thats like 16bit
2006-09-02 18:50:11

Gman's having a 16-bit time :D
2006-09-07 01:26:00

Actually, listen to Gecko. There are quite a few ways of dithering actual photos to look well on the NES. The main reason you never saw it is because of limited cartridge space at the time. BTW, this image is 16 colors.
2006-09-11 08:27:10

make an 8bit gman, pm me about it, and i'll 5 it.
2006-09-15 14:36:19

The sound isn't bad, but the graphics aren't even close to 8bit
2006-10-22 14:11:41

8-bit NOPE sound=8-bit but not the pic :(
2007-01-16 22:36:03

*re-vote* XD
2007-01-19 22:30:56

You know what it took me so long to realize? NES games were the perfect training for enjoying YTMND in a musical sense. Most people get tired of a loop and move quickly to end it, but thanks to video games, I'm not bothered by it at all. And 8-bit/NES sites are a great reminder of that.
