This ytmnd wins. Why? Because it's image and sound, and it's image and sound which has an impact on you. Ytmnd is getting closer and closer to simply being micromedia flash with the new sync in and crap which basically just makes it like a flash movie, so ytmnd has no originality. But this is good. This is great.

The source engine is absolute sh*t. HDR usually makes levels light up brighter than the sun. I love how you are easily wowed by a lighting trick.

MorphingJar, you can build a PC to render a mere HL2 game smoothly for about $400. So more expensive than a PS3? No. The game still doesn't look as good regardless, but PC is the powerhouse either way.

i always turn off HDR. it looks cool but its like staring into the sun, insta-pain. anyhow just a rendering trick nothin' special to it. I'd take dynamic shadows any day.

Maybe if you went outside once in a while to watch a sunset you'd see how realistic this is. Also, HL2 is impressive because these graphics are superior to Oblivion, and yet it runs at a MUCH, MUCH better framerate than Oblivion. Valve made the most efficient engine EVAR. I'm not a console fan at all, I love PCs. I bought my $800 pc because it can browse the web, let me chat with friends, edit together videos, PLAY AWESOME GAMES ON A SIDENOTE, and can be upgraded for the future.

The reason why the 'Rendered today, Sony' is funny is not because of the price. No. It's because during the Technical Demonstration at E3, they diddn't have it live, they had a pre-rendered demo of it. A movie if you will.

Sony should have seen Crysis at E3. That's why PCs are superior.
